About these rates: Rates are indicative reference rates and may differ from bank, card, cash-transfer, or exchange-counter rates because providers can add fees and spreads. The free data source updates approximately once per day.

Reproduce the conversion and compare the payout

Worked example

At an invented reference rate of 1 USD = 1,350 NGN, 100 USD converts to 135,000 NGN. If a provider instead pays 1,320 NGN per USD, the same amount yields 132,000 NGN before any fixed fee. The 3,000 NGN difference shows why a reference result and a provider payout differ. These are example rates, not live quotes.

Calculation and assumptions

The conversion multiplies the amount by the applicable From-to-To rate. Cross rates can be calculated by dividing the destination rate by the source rate when both share a common base. The timestamp identifies the data update; it is not a guaranteed execution time or price.

How to use the estimate

Check the displayed rate date and compare the final amount the recipient would receive after fees. The listed currency is not evidence that a provider supports transfers there. When rates cannot load, wait for an error or retry rather than treating an old result as a fresh quote.
